Hi all,
I haven't made any updates as I haven't been doing any 'exercises'. That being said, I have shifted my focus to the rest of my body. I've been hitting the gym pretty regularly and I've managed to drop 30lbs since the beginning of the year. My self-image is at an all time high so I haven't given the jelq topic much thought!
I'm going to post a few thoughts on this. I've done a lot of casual thinking and I'd like to share what I've learned.
In the meantime: I stumbled across this article about penis size written for women by women and I think it could likely be one of the more self-affirming articles you will read on penis size.
Enjoy!

I started this blog to chronicle my jelqing/PE experience. I have never had a single complaint about my penis size, nor my technique. I am an average male, but like many men I have always doubted my endowment. I know I haven't anything to worry about, but I am interested to discover if it's possible to change what nature gave me.

Took a little break - don't panic!
Back on Dec 10, 2011 I posted "No Change, No Surprise", where I explained that I hadn't seen any gains in 30 days. I wrote that I wasn't discouraged, and was going to continue with my routine.
Well, that didn't happen. :)
The truth is I've been very busy for over a month and I basically haven't done anything in the PE department. I haven't quit and I'm not discouraged, I simply took a break. This entire topic is a little obsessive, and I didn't like how it was invading my daily thoughts. I was happy with the way I looked, I felt pretty good about myself, and didn't want to have this nagging obsession following me into the holiday season. I wanted a little more balance. I took a break.
I'll likely re-start the routine in February and see where that takes me. I'm curious to see if a six week break will make any difference in my body's ability to 'grow'.
Just for the record, I did take some occasional measurements during this time and nothing has changed. I have to assume based on this information that results are permanent?
Talk soon.

Nobody wants to see your package: Mooseknuckle
Nobody wants to see your package. I'm serious.
I was talking with a group of my coworkers last month when a gentlemen walked by with jeans that were far too tight. As he passed by, one of the women whispered 'mooseknuckle', and everyone burst out laughing. (A 'mooseknuckle' is the male version of the female 'camel toe'; pants so tight that everyone can tell what religion you are, as well as how big your package is.)
When the moment had passed, the women at the table (still wiping their tears) agreed that 'that was gross'. Now, I would have guessed that women were interested in what a man was packing. Guys always want to see what a woman looks like naked, so I simply assumed the same was true for women.
Fastforward to last week. I was talking to a close friend and she was asking about the gym I go to. We were joking around and starting talking about the locker room. I mentioned one guy who had been strutting around naked in search of a towel, noting that he probably liked the attention as he had 'a lot to look at'. 'Gross' was her reply. I was officially confused.
So over the last week I've been very directly asking all my female friends about the mooseknuckle, and everyone of the them have agreed that women do not want to see every man's package. To be clear, women want to see their own man's package, and they care about their man's size and shape etc., its that women simply don't care about every other dick in the world. Some went so far to say 'dicks are ugly'.
So, if you're obsessing over your dick, or you're very proud of it and you want to show it off, don't bother. Wear supportive underwear, check you pants and avoid a mooseknuckle. Women will think you're more attractive if you leave something to the imagination.

No Change - No Surprise
It's been almost 30 days since my last weight-in and there's been no change. I'm not really surprised.
If I wanted to force a change I could. I'm sure I could twist and bent and stretch myself till I gained a 1/16", but I'm not going to bother. I'm not going to force a result that isn't there. The routine feels good, and is working well (insofar as I enjoy it, it doesn't hurt, and doesn't consume a huge amount of my time).
I am not discouraged by the results in the least as I go the a gym regularly and I'm trying to lose some extra weight. I know that when building strength or losing some pounds you are going to plateau. The trick is to continue working through the plateau as it will pay off down the road. Plateaus are what stop lots of people from succeeding beyond the initial returns.
Talk to you soon!

30 Day Challenge - Round Three Results
Final weigh in: 6.81" (6 13/16") - that's 3/16" in the last month! Still gaining: still motivated.
I'm going to up the intensity of the routine for the next 30 days in an effort to reach my Seven Quest goal!
The routine is very simple:

How big can you make your penis?
How much can you expect to gain? Are there limits?
I think everybody can agree that no matter how long your spend working on your penis enlargement exercises, you aren't going to gain forever. Just in the same way you are never going to be able to bench press 1500lbs if you train hard enough, you simply aren't going to gain inches forever. That being the case, how much penis length and girth can the average guy expect to gain?
One of the more popular penis enlargement forums is Thunder's Place. A few years ago they surveyed their members and released the penis growth/training data for over 1000 men. I spent an evening crunching this data to see if I could come up with some usable statistics.*Note: I edited the data somewhat. Men who only recorded 1 training result, or who experienced unbelievable results in only a few months were removed.
Here are some of the results:

Here are some of the results:
- The average penis length at the beginning of the survey was 6.65"
- The average penis length at the end of the survey was 7.23"
- The average penis girth at the beginning of the survey was 5.16"
- The average penis girth at the end of the survey was 5.35"
- The average man trained for 8 months
- 792 men gained an average of 0.58" in length in an average of 8 months.
- 792 men gained an average of 0.19" in girth in an average of 8 months.
- The greatest single length gain was 2.75"
- The greatest single girth gain was 1.65"
- The majority of men performed exercises for 4 months or less before quitting.
- The average monthly length gain was slightly more than 1/32"
Conclusion:
Based on this data (with all of its faults), one could suggest that an average male who engages in a consistent penis enlargement routine can expect to gain over 1/2" in length, and an 1/8" in girth over an 8 month period.
I think its pretty easy to dispute these numbers on many different levels. How were the measurements done? How can we trust the measurements were accurate? Why is it the average penis in the study is bigger than the statistically average penis? There are many questions, but the bottom line here is that despite these (and other) discrepancies, men who attempted to enlarge the size of their dick managed to do so, and by an amount that seems very reasonable - one half inch. For me the bottom line is that PE works.
Seven Quest - Is it possible?
As mentioned, I did a casual measurement a few days ago and was surprised to find I've gained another +1/8". I was surprised because I didn't think I was going to see any additional gains. Much like dieting or working out I figured I was going to plateau but, things are still growing and I'm now wondering, could I hit 7" by year's end? It seems entirely possible. I've gained 1" of length in almost 7 months which is a little more than 1/8" a month on average, so if that trend continues, I could hit 7" by January 1 2012.
I need to research this a bit more... Stay tuned.

Another 1/8th+
I did a quick measure just for fun this morning, and I'm over 6.75" - this means I've gained 1/8th+ in the last 20 days! I'm pretty surprised as I figured I was peaking and my gains were going to taper off.
I will say that I had intended to try a more casual (less intense routine) but after a few days I switched back to my regular routine. This time I made a slight modification on the V-stretch. I'm now stretching straight down (6 o'clock), rather than straight ahead (3 o'clock). I can really feel the stretch at the base of my penis.
I'm excited to see what the final weight-in will be in 10 days!

30 Day Challenge - Round Two Results
In the last 30 days I've gained 1/8+ of an inch!
I'll be honest and say that a part of me was hoping that I'd continue the monthly 1/4" trend I've been experiencing, but the truth is I've gained an eight of an inch and I'm happy. Truthfully, I'm surprised I gained anything at all as I can't imagine this trend can sustain itself.
When I first started researching PE in the spring, I read as much as I could. The routine I use is based on what seemed to be consistent factors for success. Guys were trying all sorts of routines on very different schedules but all seemed to have similar results. Everyone seemed to be able to gain an inch in less than a year. Granted, there were guys that gained much less, and guys who gained more, but there were factors that contributed to that.
They guys who gained less than an inch or gained nothing, got frustrated easily (or so it seemed) and were really inconsistent with their routines. The guys who gained more (lifetime forum members who have increased themselves 2 or more inches) dedicated hours a day to their cause, and use extreme weight stretching techniques.
I've been very consistent, I use a routine that is smart and takes less than 4 minutes a day, and I've gained almost an inch in seven months. I would not be surprised to find that I have peaked and any additional gains will come with extreme stretching techniques, which I have no interest in doing.
I will go another 30 days, and I'm going modifiy my routine a little bit to reduce the intensity (give my dick a rest).
The routine we be as follows:

Hung
Hung. Not a word I'm used to hearing, but the other day I actually heard it. I was innocently changing while my wife was reading and she looks over at me
It dawned on me that I haven't really been fair about my flaccid state. I'm actually pretty average, but I get hung up on 'cold days'. That's not to say I haven't changed - I have! I'm positive things are bigger. I've gained some length over the last 6 months and it shows. Secondly, I stopped wearing brief-style underwear months ago. I found that briefs tended to really compress things so I was always 'crushed'. Since the underwear change, I am a lot fuller in my flaccid state, and tend to move quite a bit more, which means extra circulation and a bigger bulge. Thirdly, and this was a comment my wife made, it could be that I'm more confident, so my dick wants to hang out. She reasoned that when you're nervous or scared a man's dick tends to shrivel up. So, it seems reasonable to assume that being confident could do the opposite.
Either way, I'm happy!
"You're well hung..."This really caught me off guard. There was no way she was being honest with me - that or she was just being kind - but I know my body, and I'm not 'well hung'.
"What?"
"You actually have a big cock. You're really well hung. I hope you don't worry about your dick; you look great!"
"Go take a look in the mirror... You look great!"I took a peek in the mirror, and I have to admit, I looked good.
"Do you think it looks different?"As mentioned here, I'm a total grower (not a shower) and have locker room anxiety, but my according to my wife (and by my own admission) this day I looked bigger than I thought I was.
"Totally... Must be because you've lost weight... Just thought I'd mention it... Love you."

Searching for the Average Penis
In the past month this blog has gotten much more popular - we now see a few hundred unique visitors a day! 99% of the incoming traffic is from Google search, and 95% of the search terms refer to 'average penis' or 'average penis pictures'. It seems there is a lot of people interested in finding out just how big, or small, the average penis is!
I decided to search for 'average penis' as well and found that most of the search results were returned from sites that were selling penis enlargement products - pumps, pills and other assorted goods. (No surprise there) The other thing I found was that many of the penis enlargement sites seemed to have a altered the numbers - their 'average' seemed 'above average'. I've included some charts below:
The information I've been using for this site comes from the Lifestyles Condom study, as well as data from the Journal of Urology, the International Journal of Impotence Research as well as other assorted sources. Although the numbers to vary from study to study, the bottom line is that average penis size is about 5.7". (Read more about average penis sizes and distribution of sizes) What my searches also revealed was that almost all the sites that talked about the average penis (which coincidentally also sold enlargement products) seemed to have numbers that were much higher than any of the studies. According to these sites, the average penis was between 6.5" and 7" long, and a 7" penis is far more common than a 5.5" penis.
Don't believe it.
If you have a 5"-6" penis, and you discover that you are only 1" below the overwhelming average (as reported by penis enlargement sites), might you be inclined to spend $100-$300 to gain a 'mere' inch? Particularly when you've been promised 3" gains? Even the worst results will give you an extra inch and you'll finally be 'average'. Would you spend the money? Perhaps - but why? Because some site fed your insecurity and confirmed that you are 'small'? There is money to be made making you think you don't measure up. Think about it...

30 Day Challenge - Round Two
The last 30 days went really well! The routine was dead-easy to follow, only took a few minutes to complete, and yielded great results. As noted, I'm a still a little skeptical as I've been losing weight the entire time I've being doing PE.
So, I'm going to do another 30 days of PE. I'm switching my routine a little just to add variety, but the entire thing takes less that 4 minutes per session.
The routine is as follows:
*Between-the-legs downward stretch: Just like the under-the-leg stretch, you grab you penis reaching around the back of your leg, but rather than pulling down against the back of your leg, you pull straight back, close you legs and stand up straight. You'll find that you can arch you back and really increase the intensity of the stretch, but not lose grip.

Why I'm Still A Skeptic
In the last 6 months I've gained 3/4" on length, and a little more than 1/4" in girth. That's roughly an 1/8" per month, which seems totally reasonable for growth. I've maintained a fairly consistent routine, based on the best information I could find, and the results 'prove' that PE (penis exercise) works.
However...
The other thing I've been doing over the past six months is getting healthy. I've been hitting the gym and I've lost about 30+ lbs in the last 6 months. I'm looking great, and feeling great. So, it stands to reason that all of my gains have been because of weight loss. I have read that some medical professionals believe that for every 35lbs of weight lost, you gain an inch of visible penis. I've lost 30 lbs and have gained 3/4" - seems like they might be right! My hard-on looks much more impressive, and despite my grumblings, I look much better flaccid than I did before - both likely because I've lost weight.
However...
I made a point from the very beginning of this experiment to make sure I used the bone-pressed measuring technique when tracking my progress. I can tell you that I have certainly not lost a 3/4" slab of fat that has been sitting atop my pubic bone obstructing the ruler. So, does PE work, or was weight loss the key?
At this point, the only way to tell is to continue with my PE experiment. Either way, I've made gains, and I'm happy, but I can't say for sure that it's because of what I've 'gained', or what I've 'lost'.

30 Day Challenge - the results are in!
In 30 days I've gained a 1/4 inch! I'm now 6.5 inches! I can't believe it!
No seriously, I really can't believe it! I wasn't expecting any change, so to gain a full 1/4" is pretty unbelievable!
One of the things I've noticed is that it's really easy for my erection to fluctuate 1/4"-1/2" based on mood - there is a big difference between a boner, and a BONER! Each time I've measured I've made sure I'm in the mood to do so, as I've casually measured in the past and found that I'm smaller. As well, there is a difference between bone-pressed measurement, and non-bone-pressed measurements (as discussed here). The thing is, the bone-pressed measurements aren't really a functional measurements, they're a benchmark. So you sexual partner is never going to experience your 'full love potential', just part of it.
Functionally, I now measure 6 inches - easily, which is also a confidence boost. I don't have a 6 inch penis in certain conditions, I have a 6 inch penis at all time, and more if you measure correctly.
I think I'm going to do another 30 days and see what happens!

Average Penis: The Numbers Game
One of my first posts talked about the 'average' penis. (You can read about it here) I quickly touched on the data collected by the LifeStyle Condom people and created an image that illustrated the vast difference in the size of a penis in the average distribution. The average penis ranged from 4.9"x3.7" (length/girth) to 6.7"x5.7". The illustration does a great job showing just how different the average dick can be, but it doesn't really offer much of a metric for comparison. After I did a little research for my 'Grower not a Shower' comparison, I decided to take the same LifeStyle Condom data and create this handy chart.
Length: penis length in inches
Percentile: The percentile rank of a score is the percentage of scores in its frequency distribution that are the same or lower than it.
Frequency: The average occurrence.
Bigger than you / Smaller than you: In a group of 100 people, how many are bigger/smaller than you.
Scenarios
- If you have a 6" penis (the gold standard), you are in the 73rd percentile, and on average only 9% of men have a penis as long as yours. In a group of 100 men, 27 men will have a penis larger than yours, and 73 will have a smaller penis.
- If you have a 5.75" penis, (a mere 1/4" smaller than the 6" penis) you are in the 48th percentile - 23% of men have a penis as long as yours - this is the most common length. In a group of 100 men, 52 men will have a penis larger than yours and 48 men will have a smaller penis. Based on this data, you are completely average.
- If you have a 4.75" penis, 96 of 100 men in the locker room are going to have a statistically larger penis than you, however, consider that on average 3% of men have the same size dick as you do, which is the same percentage of men that are 6.75" or longer. What this means is that while you have a smaller penis than most men, but the average man is only 3/4"-1" longer than you, and while it may seem like the rest of the men have huge cocks, they statistically have average dicks.
- Finally, lets look at the famed 8 inch penis. The quintessential porn-movie wang. Yes, they exist, and if you have one you are in the 97th percentile for length. Only 3 men in a locker room of 100 men will have a dick bigger than yours, and only 1% of the population shares your endowment.
I can't convince you to be happy with your dick if you're not, and I can't tell you to not want to be different than you are. What I can tell you is that you might be sweating some minor details for no good reason. If you have a 5" penis and you feel completely undersized, you need to consider that you're only 1/2"-3/4" away from having an average dick, and in a room of 100 guys, there are 7 guys with a dick 1/4" bigger than yours, and 13 guys with dicks 1/2" bigger than yours - so not every guy is WAY bigger than you, they're just slightly bigger.
That being said, thanks to penis exercises I've increased my penis length beyond the 6 inch ceiling, which has been a huge psychological boost. I know it's silly, it's obsessive and frankly useless, but the difference in 1/4"-1/2" has really changed my outlook on things. Knowing that now, I am simply saying if you can't change the way you are, realistically consider how you actually measure up, and truthfully consider if its worth the anxiety if gives you.

Grower, not a shower.
I've been spending a lot of time at the gym over the past 4 months. There are a number of things I don't like about my body, and I really want to change them. Going to a gym has been a great experience. While progress is slow, there is progress and I'm feeling more confident, looking better, and getting stronger.
It stands to reason that if you are working out at a gym, you're going to see a lot of dicks, and the experience can be humbling.
As noted here, I'm a grower - not a shower, and I hate it. I didn't realize that most of my insecurities were tied to my flaccid penis until I joined a gym. With a hard-on, I feel good about myself - no issues, but soft, I'm ready to hide under a rock. For some reason my self-worth depends of the non-verbal opinions of a room full of strange men. That doesn't make and sense, does it?
My first thoughts about what I was seeing in the locker room were depressing. Everybody seemed to have a bigger dick than me. I know I have a 'better-than-statistically-average' penis, so how is it possible that everyone is bigger than me when I know they cant be?
First of all, the men standing around waving their peckers are proud of their dicks and know they show well - but that is hardly all of the men. I realized that of all the men that were getting showered/changed, at least half the men kept their backs turned while changing, or covered themselves with a towel etc. I'm going to guess that 50% of men didn't care who saw them naked.
Secondly, according to what I've read, 75% of men are growers, and the rest are showers. A shower is a man who gains up to 150% in length compared to their flaccid state. A grower is a man who gains more than 150% in length. In my case, I gain about 250% (very common).
So, as a grower I am now about 2.5" flaccid. If I was a typical shower, and only gained 150% in length, my flaccid penis would be a out 4.3" long - which would look pretty good! My 'shower' size looks about average for the guys that I see at the gym.
Lets suppose there are only 100 men at the gym, and only 50 of them are comfortable being naked around other men only because they are comfortable with the size of their dick, or statistically have a bigger penis, we could assume:

- 30 of the men will have a larger penis than me based on the fact that my erection size puts me in the 65-70 cumulative percentile for length - 30+ of the men statistically have a bigger dick.
- If the average man (approx 5.7" in length) makes up about 30% of the gym population (as statistics suggest) and if 25% of these men are showers, than 8 men of average length at this gym should have a 4"+ flaccid penis, again larger than me.
So, of the 50 men who are comfortable with their bodies, 38+ of them will have a larger flaccid penis than I do, despite the fact that I am apparently in the top 65-70 cumulative percentile for length.
So, I was right! Almost everyone at the gym does seem to have a bigger dick than I do - but that's based on a number of factors that severely prejudice the sample I'm comparing myself to.
Bottom line, it's stupid for me to care, and it's stupid for me to compare. That being said, I don't think I'm the least bit more confident, but at least I'm not going to dwell on it.

Measuring Your Penis
If you've ever measured you penis, you've probably discovered you can add a few inches simply by moving the ruler around the base of your cock. Depending on where you start measuring from, you can have an eight or nine inch lady killer despite your genetics. However, if you wan't to accurately and consistantly measure yourself, you should be using a bone-pressed measurement.
It's important to measure yourself in a consistent manner if you are interested in actually tracking your exercise progress as there is no point is spending a part of every day doing PE, if you can't actually measure if it's working. As well, the bone-pressed measurement is the 'standard', so if you are interested in seeing how you stack up against others, you better measure yourself in the same way.
To properly measure yourself, lay the ruler along the top of you penis, and push the ruler in against the pubic bone and the base of your dick. You will likely discover that you can gain 1/2" or more just by pressing the ruler firmly. This half inch gain isn't visible, nor is it usable, but it is considered part of the overall length.
Use this technique each and every time you measure your dick, and you'll be able to accurately track your progress.

Conversations: A confident dick
I have a number of close friends whom are very honest, enlightened, and don't shy away from sex-talk. They range from gay men, single ladies, happily married couples, and my wife. Anything and everything is fair game in the course of a conversation, and the opinions expressed here represent the collective wisdom of these people.
Just about everyone jokes about penis size. If someone drives a fast car, or works out a LOT, people kid that they must have a small penis. If a man is a real jerk, it must be a result of a small cock. Basically, if a man does anything to artificially inflate his confidence, he's got small junk.
So, it seems that a big penis equals confidence.
But who is it that is demanding a bigger penis? Is it your partner, or yourself? I have never had a complaint about my endowment, and none of my friends have uttered an unhappy word about their spouses' dicks. It seems that an average penis is just fine. I know that not all my friends are the same, yet no one is disappointed. The thing my friends do have in common is they are comfortable in their own skin. They are humble and quietly confident.
The spouses have all agreed that they'd rather a man who knows how to use what they've got, than one that does not. Sex isn't just pounding away like a pile driver, it's a lot more - it's an experience. Likewise, most spouses don't pull out a ruler to see how their man measures up, they measure their spouse by their skill.
A big penis does not equal good penis.
So if you're spending your free time increasing the size of your average penis, and doing nothing to improve your sex technique, is there really any benefit to you or your partner? You might feel confident about heading to the bedroom, but what happens once you get there? How confident will you feel if you don't have the skills?
My friends love their spouses, and their cocks. They really do. They make suggestive comments and playful gestures to their partners, and respectfully 'brag' to their friends - but we all know its not because any of them have record-breaking dicks, its because they have 'good' dicks and know how to use them. That being said, if the casual observer overheard these private conversations (and sometimes they do) they'd assume that everyone is packing a huge penis. I know I think that way! The way my friends talked about their partners made me assume everyone was hung like a champ - but it simply wasn't the case.
So if entire group of different women (and men) aren't shy about playing-up the sexual ability of their spouses, despite the fact that they all have very average and different penises, and the average observer is going to assume that this praise is because these men must be well hung, what does this tell us? A confident man has a big penis - no matter what size it is.
A penis isn't only measured by its length and girth, it's also measured by attitude and confidence. I suggested this to my friends and everyone agreed - a man who gets naked and is self-assured (despite body type and endowment) and has a great, caring and passionate attitude in the bedroom, has a 'big cock' in the eyes of their partners. Their cocks look and feel big despite their size, and leave a definite impression. I understand this isn't going to be easy to accept, and there will always be exceptions to this rule, but a whole group of people who are having satisfying, confident sex MUST be doing something right!
So bottom line: you can stretch and jelq to increase the size of your penis, but if you really want a big cock, get confident, get caring, get passionate.
A confident man equals a big cock.

30 Day Challenge
Last week I decided to get back into a simple routine to see if even the most moderate exercises could again yield results. Last month I said:
Interest in Jelqing and Penis Enlargement has really dwindled. In the past month I haven't had the desire to devote time every day to the cause. I'm really happy with myself, and I don't see much reason to change. This still holds true, but reviewing my own blog I realized that the skeptic in me was doubting my own results. Yes, I've made gains and yes, those gains have correlated with me doing stretching and jelqing exercises, however over the past 4 months I have also been improving my body and overall health through regimented exercise. (I will write on this another time - I think it's very important!) So I've wondered if losing a bit of weight etc. hasn't been the reason for my perceived gains. (Bottom line, this wasn't a very controlled experiment - too many variables)
So, for 30 days I will follow this this routine but I will only do 1 or 2 cycles.
Let's see what happens!
